Rowling's fourth book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was released internationally on November 19, 2005 in 3D as well as 2D formats with a running time of 228 minutes. It is the fourth longest Harry Potter film to date and the second longest one to be released internationally. This film also featured the final performance of Richard Griffiths as Vernon Dursley, who died shortly before its theatrical release. It was the last Harry Potter film to feature Richard Harris as Professor Albus Dumbledore until "Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince". In the film, as Harry Potter has been accepted as a Triwizard Champion, Lord Voldemort has returned to seek his wand from Dumbledore. He picks the Quidditch World Cup as his target, taking over the Ministry of Magic and targeting those that oppose him. The film begins with Harry Potter and his friends arriving at King's Cross Station and catching a train to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. During their journey to Hogwarts, they encounter Draco Malfoy and Ginny Weasley at King's Cross Station. After learning that Ron Weasley has been expelled from the school by Filch, Harry believes that Barty Crouch Jr is responsible for it and asks Professor Dumbledore about him, who cannot recall anyone named Barty Crouch by name. On arrival at Hogwarts, Harry is assigned a potions lesson with Professor Horace Slughorn and meets new roommates Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan, as well as Fred and George Weasley, who convince him to break into the Gryffindor common room to retrieve his missing wand. He also learns that Hagrid's pet dragon, Norbert, has been stolen. He meets with Draco Malfoy in an empty classroom and they both resolve to train for the Triwizard Tournament. On the Hogwarts express back to school after Christmas break, Harry overhears another conversation between Malfoy and Snape in which they speak of someone wanting something "as they've never wanted before". After arriving at school, Hermione tells Harry that she suspects Rita Skeeter is an unregistered Animagus who can take a form of a beetle, which is how she has been getting all her information.
